The new line with a capacity of more than 150 hatches per day will allow you to abandon the purchase of these components from third-party manufacturers. It will also reduce the cost of the gondola car itself.
As BelAZ noted, the development of the Mogilev Car-Building Plant provides for further expansion of the production of wagons and gondola cars, as well as the development of new types of products. To fulfill the tasks set, it is necessary to improve production capacities, introduce new equipment and modern technologies. It is along this path of development that car-building production is going.
In 2012, the MVZ intends to produce 2.5 thousand cars, by 2015, the production capacity is planned to increase to 3 thousand units. In 2011, the company produced 1,545 freight cars, including 747 gondola cars and 798 hopper cars. A total of 4,449 railcars were manufactured during the plant's operation. The production of six types of wagons for the transportation of fertilizers, grain, timber, and cement has been mastered.
JSC "Mogilev Car Building Plant" was registered in March 2005 and is located on the production facilities of the Mogilev Automobile Plant (MoAZ), which is also part of the production association "BelAZ". In the authorized fund of the car-building enterprise, 99% of the shares belong to BelAZ. The company employs about 700 people.
