Currently, Mogilev car builders are completing the preparation for the production of grain carriers. The prototypes were successfully tested and certified for compliance with Russian quality standards. The hopper car with a body volume of 94 cubic meters is designed for transportation of grain crops and other bulk cargo requiring protection from atmospheric precipitation along the entire railway network of Belarus, the CIS countries and the Baltic States with a gauge of 1520 mm. Loading is carried out through the upper hatches and gravity unloading through the lower unloading hatches into the inter-rail space on special loading and unloading devices.
By the end of the year, it is planned to produce about 200-300 grain carriers, sell some of them on the domestic market, and also partially export them. The company's marketers are now actively monitoring sales markets, studying the demand for new products both in Belarus and abroad. In addition to grain carriers, this year the company has mastered and started mass production of new cargo gondola cars of its own design and cement trucks. In total, it is planned to produce about 2.5 thousand units of rolling stock by the end of the year, which is one and a half times higher than last year's level.
The quality management system for the production and maintenance of freight rolling stock at the enterprise meets the requirements of STB ISO 9001-2009.
