In 2013, JSC "MVZ" plans to produce 12% more products than in the past. The planned volume of production this year should be 2,800 units of freight cars, and the volume of exports should be at least 50 % of this amount.

The main task of the plant is still to meet the domestic demand for freight trains. According to the State Program for the development of railway transport of the Republic of Belarus for 2011-2015, the demand for freight cars of the largest rolling stock operator of the country, GO "Belarusian Railway", in 2013 is 2500 units, including 1100 units of cars of the model range of the NWAO "MVZ".

Currently, the second stage of the investment project for the reconstruction, modernization of existing production facilities and the development of unused areas is being implemented at the car-building enterprise. The completion of this project will allow to expand the model range of freight railcars and create technological capacities up to 5 thousand units per year. In 2012, more than Vg27 billion was spent. investments in fixed assets. The project is expected to be completed in 2017.
