Joint Closed Joint Stock Company "Mogilev Car Building Plant" is a commercial organization with foreign investments, has the status of a legal entity, has a separate property, an independent balance sheet, has the right to acquire property and personal non-property rights and bear obligations on its own behalf, to be a plaintiff and a defendant in courts, to have accounts in bank institutions, seals and stamps with its name, letterheads, trademarks and other details.

JSC "MVZ" carries out its activities on the leased premises of the branch of the holding company "BELAZ-HOLDINGg" in Mogilev.

The Company leased the production and administrative areas of the branch of the Holding Company "BELAZ-HOLDINGg"in Mogilev in the amount of 15.6 thousand m2, including: production area of 15.2 thousand m2, administrative area of 0.4 thousand m2, the Belarusian Railway brought 2.3 km of railway tracks.

The main purpose of the plant is to meet the needs of the Belarusian Railway and other enterprises of the Republic of Belarus in freight railcars.

There is a program for the development of the enterprise, which is aimed at ensuring the replenishment and renewal of the fleet of gondola cars and hopper cars (mineral carriers) in the domestic market, as well as the production of freight cars in an amount sufficient to meet the needs of consumers in the CIS countries.

The technical re-equipment of its own foundry production carried out by Belaz – Holding will make it possible to include in the program of development of new types of cast blanks-blanks for the domestic production of wheeled trolleys.
All products of the company are certified. Work on the certification of freight trains is carried out in the Register of certification in the Federal Railway Transport (RS FZHT).

On the initiative of JSC "MVZ" in December 2008, a certification audit of the company's quality management system was conducted and the National Conformity Assessment Body issued a certificate certifying that the quality management system for the production and maintenance of freight rolling stock meets the requirements of STB ISO 9001-2001.

In August 2009, the system was audited for compliance with the requirements of the new version of the STB ISO 9001-2009 standard. At the final meeting, the specialists of BelGISS (accredited by the German Accreditation Society TGA-Tragergemeinschaft fur Akkreditierung German Association for Accreditation GmbH) informed that they would recommend that the certification body issue a certificate of compliance of the quality management system with the requirements of the ISO 9000 – 2008 standard, which is the basis for certification of products for the purpose of their implementation.

In December 2017, JSC "MVZ" passed the certification of the quality management system for compliance with the requirements of STB ISO 9001-2015 in relation to the design and production of freight rolling stock. Certificate of conformity No. VU/ 112 05.01.008 05981 was received.

In December 2020, JSC "MVZ" was re-certified by the quality management system for compliance with the requirements of STB ISO 9001-2015 in relation to the design and production of freight rolling stock. Certificate of conformity No. VU/ 112 05.01. 008 11403 was received.
